I used to wear makeup every day in high school. I would go all in, painting on a primer, concealer, foundation, blush, bronzer, mascara, eyeliner, topped off with an extra glossy lip gloss. EVERY. DAY. Who was I? I love a good full face of makeup, but, in my opinion, a routine like that every day just wasn't ideal for my lifestyle. Some days you got to let it all breathe, you know? My daily makeup routine now is minimal, replaced by my preferred identity as a skin care MAXIMALIST. I put a lot of effort into my skin care in order to feel good without makeup. That being said, makeup is great and there is no right or wrong way for anyone to feel confident when they walk out of the door. DO YOU, for you!
First Aid Coconut Smoothie Primer- I wear this primer as a foundation. It slightly evens my skin tone and adds a subtle glow due to all the tiny little shimmery things in the formula :) LOVE IT!
Hourglass Brow Gel- Won't flake, won't budge. I brush my brows straight up towards the sky, as vertical as possible.
Shiseido Eyelash Curler- I think any eyelash curler works as long as you squeeze with intention - don't be shy, they won't fall off. Just be careful. Pro tip: I use Grande Lash eyelash serum at night before bed every now and then. Every time I curl my eyelashes, I am shocked at how long they have grown.
Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop- I apply it in a very controlled way. A simple dab on the tip of my nose and on the highest points of my cheeks - nothing more!
Tom Ford Bronzer in Terra- If I could only use one item of makeup for the rest of my life it would be bronzer. I use it instead of blush and it makes me look ALIVE. I use the same bronzer on my cheeks and lids for that monochromatic look.
